I might be moving to Tokyo and as such, are looking for some information regarding areas that are worth looking at. I have 3 children aged 10,9 & 3; and as such might want to look for area nearby the international school. If not, I would want to consider living in an area with easy access to public transport and shops (general stores etc).

Thanks for joining the forum. If you have already chosen an international school, I would be inclined to stay in that area. Although these areas tend to be on the expensive side.
Almost anywhere you decide to live in Tokyo has good public transport and shops close by. You generally don't need a car in the city.
Anywhere on the western side on the lines going out from Shibuya is nice. I really like the Azabu area. It has a nice community feel with many foreigners living there. Rent is a little pricey but it is convenient to everywhere.
